Early 2020 gave us experience with separation and social distancing. Some of us worked odd hours or from home. We weren’t able to meet. We made the best of a bad situation, and we tried to stay in touch. But we discovered: We don’t like it.
These new pages are an opportunity to connect anytime. To stay in touch in heart, regardless of where we are or how apart we must stay.
We have Fr. John’s ponderings, our latest Facebook posts, video and audio messages, and of course, new blog posts which you can comment on. Put all together, these present an opportunity for us to connect and share, to stay in touch, in conversation.
We’re now adding pages to this part of our site that will include our site archives, our newsletter and schedules, and even places for content submitted by our members – in addition to what has been available previously.
Our doors are open for service. We follow the Diocese of East Carolina’s decision to heed North Carolina’s guidance regarding gatherings. This means social distancing and masking indoors in crowded situations.
The 1st and 3rd Sundays (as well as 5th Sundays when they happen) are Holy Eucharist Rite II services celebrated by Fr. John Frazier. The remaining two Sundays are Morning Prayer with members of our parish acting as the officiants.
Sunday Services are at 9:30 a.m.
Our regular small and community groups are meeting again, also following social distancing measures.
We continue to do our part to halt the virus and its variants as we worship together and support each other. We encourage vaccines to build the immunity that we need as individuals and a community.
We welcome your visits to our facebook pages and web site as well as this blog potion of the site. ‘Conversations’ can be reached via our St. Paul’s in the Pines web site, or directly at this address.
Stay safe, stand back, and say ‘I love you’ to those you love. We may live in harrowing times, but we are not bowed. All are Welcome here.
